This highly successful online practitioner training from Live Well with Pain is back, with new sessions scheduled for this May!
Aimed at prescribing clinicians, pharmacists, general practitioners, or anyone involved in reviewing pain-relieving medicines for chronic pain, the workshops have received great feedback every time they are run:

The overall aim of the workshop is to increase confidence in knowledge, skills, and use of tools/resources to enable the person with pain to engage in self-care and safer use of medicines.
The two sessions cover:
Pain: its experience and impact on health and wellbeing
Core skills: engage + use Pain / Self Care models and tools
Valued ways to guide exploration and awareness of self-care options
Role of patient complete decision aid tools to improve focus on patient priorities
Use of Live Well with Pain Health Check tool: what, why and how and its role in triage
Focus on addressing medicines safely and decision aids resources
Focus on shift of conversation on ways to use self-care skills and local support options
Key practical tips and question time, opportunity to practice skills
The workshops are led by Live Well with Pain co-founder and principal pharmacist Emma Davies, Vicki Rowell, Dr Laura Hissey and Dr Graham Dunthorne, who are supported by co-deliverers with lived experience of pain.
