Steve is currently working as a Pain Specialist Physiotherapist at the Manchester and Salford Pain Centre as part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Trust.

Steve qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2002 from the University of Huddersfield, completing his Masters in Rehabilitation Studies at the University of Bradford in 2013 and a Postgraduate Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), (2009).

He has worked as a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist in Spinal and Chronic Pain at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust, as an Advanced Pain Practitioner at Calderdale Pain Clinic and First Contact Practitioner. He has been working in Multidisciplinary Pain Management delivering Pain Management Programmes with a range of Health Professionals and People with Lived Experience of Pain since 2006.

He has been working with the Pain Management team in Manchester and Salford delivering individual and group work since 2021. Steve adopts a person-centred approach and has an enduring interest in empowering people to improve their function and confidence, working with them to optimise quality of life and live well with pain.
