Dr Sebastián Senociaín

Dr Sebastián Senociaín (MBChB, cum laude) is a medical doctor, Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner, and integrative clinician specialising in trauma-informed approaches to persistent pain within NHS primary care.
Based at St Austell Healthcare PCN, he designed and delivers Cornwall’s first county-wide Supported Pain Self-Management Service, including an 11-week programme based on the Live Well with Pain 10 Footsteps framework, alongside a PCN-based Pain Café, Video Group Clinics, and the development of a peer-led community pain support group with programme graduates. He has also supported the development of a community of “patient experts” who contribute to programme delivery and peer support.
His approach integrates pain neuroscience, Polyvagal Theory, lifestyle medicine, coaching, and trauma-sensitive practice, with a focus on nervous system regulation, empowerment, connection, and living well beyond medication.
His multidisciplinary training spans traumatic stress, Functional and Lifestyle Medicine, health coaching, yoga, breathwork, Ayurveda, and Compassionate Inquiry. Outside work, he enjoys family adventures in Cornwall, yoga, running, bouldering, cooking, discovering new cultures, and spending time in nature.
