Senior Physiotherapist – Team Leader
Jo qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1999. Following completion of a broad range of rotations, she worked as part of a Discharge Liaison MDT in ED and later moved to Out-patients.
She has led the Physiotherapy component of Interdisciplinary Pain Team at University Hospitals Birmingham for more than 10 years and has completed training in CBT and ACT.
She delivers specialist assessment and intervention to people living with long pain through MDT Pain clinics, Pain Management Programmes (PMP’s) and Joint Physiotherapy and Psychology clinics.
In addition, she continues to carry an MSK caseload, treating people living with pain, vestibular or / and balance problems as well as other MSK issues.
Her teaching experience has included creating and delivering a pain section within the ‘Advancing Practice in Musculoskeletal Outpatients – The Spine’ external physiotherapy training programme as well as providing in-house staff training on pain and related issues and one-to-one staff supervision to help improve the quality of care for people living with pain.

programme, jointly with Meghan Linscott, at 4.10pm.
