What is Omega-3?
Omega-3 is a type of healthy fat that our bodies need to work properly. It helps keep your heart, brain, and eyes healthy.
Omega-3 can also help reduce inflammation in the body, which can make pain better.
Omega-3 can be found in fish (like salmon, sardines, and mackerel), seeds (like chia seeds and flaxseeds), and nuts (like walnuts).
Whilst it is recommended that we consume two portions of fish per week, including one oily fish, there is no set recommended amount of Omega-3 to consume per week. There are also plant based sources including walnuts, flaxseeds, chia seeds and edamame.
