Frequently asked questions about registration

Here are answers to your questions about why we’re removed the registration function from our website.

How do I register for an account on Live Well with Pain?

From 16 November 2023 there is no longer a registration function on the website. Everything that was previously accessed by registering is now freely available without registration. People living with pain and practitioners can now explore all our resources without needing to sign in.

Why don’t I need to register or sign in any more?

Live Well with Pain has been gathering user feedback throughout its first year of running the new website. This indicated that having to register and sign in was a potential barrier for some.
We also recognise that NHS guidelines for linking out from their own website to others such as ours, recommend only linking to sites which ‘do not require registration to view basic content’.
We want as many people as possible to access our resources, so we decided to remove registration in November 2023.

Can I still save resources as favourites?

The ‘favourites’ feature of the website relied on registration to be able to save people’s individual choices. As there is no longer a registration function, the ‘favourites’ feature is no longer available.
Instead, we suggest downloading any resources you want to keep and saving them on your device – all our resources are free to download. You can also print them out if you prefer.
If there are particular pages that you want to save and return to easily, we recommend using the bookmark feature of your web browser to save a link to these.

Is everything still available?

Yes, all our information, tools and resources, including Ten Footsteps and all downloads, is still on the website and freely available to all.
You will find most of the content in the same places as before. There may be some minor changes to the navigation, but the same clear user interface that you are already familiar with, has been retained throughout the site.

What has happened to my registration details?

Now that we have removed the registration and sign-in functions of the website, the information provided by users when registering (name, first part of postcode etc) is no longer needed for the functioning of the site.
We have therefore taken all registration data offline and archived it. We will delete all registration data in accordance with our planned schedule, three months after the registration function has been removed from our website. This will be in February 2024.
Up until then you can still ask to see what data we hold about you. To request this information email info@livewellwithpain.co.uk

I am on a Live Well with Pain training course. Do I still need a password to access course information?

Yes, we have retained the password requirement for course content, as this is a paid service we offer.
The passcode you were given when booking on the course remains unchanged.
The only change is that it no longer operates on a ‘one-time’ only basis. From 16 November 2023, you will need to enter the passcode each time you access your course pages.

I am participating in research with Live Well with Pain. Do I still need a password to access research pages?
